Severn View Primary Academy - In 2016 in partnership with the Friends of Severn View Academy, I was successful in being awarded a grant of £10,000 from Tescos Bags for Help Community Grant to fund an extensive horticulture project. Local Stroud businesses and volunteers kindly helped with the building of a Biodome and raised beds where pupils grew fruit and vegetables year round. Crops were harvested daily and served in the pupils lunches providing fresh, healthy meals. A true Incredible Edible story!

Chesterton Primary School - As Outdoor Learning Teacher I was the school lead for the award winning Nation wide Poll:Nation project creating a pollinating corridor throughout the UK. I worked with the children to design a new school garden including growing areas and wild flower paths. We audited the school grounds for evidence of wildlife before initiating school wide changes to the environment to encourage biodiversity into our outside learning spaces.

Both projects involved children being involved in the visioning, planning, creating and evaluating stages, incorporated all areas of the curriculum and involved a great deal of imaginative, creative fun.
